How to Get a Sexy Back

Have you ever wondered how some women get an amazingly shapely back? Showing strength and femininity at the same time? In this FABulously Fit Friday I'll show you how it's done.

I have a confession.

When I was young I had NO strength whatsoever. I seriously was the whimpy kid on the playground.

And then one day I decided I wouldn't be weak anymore.

I mastered my now favorite back exercise of all.

Check out the results in the video!

And do tell what your favorite back exercises are. I want to hear from you in the comments below.

With love,

Kristin

Enjoyed this vid! The gym that I workout in has it as an assisted (not able to do it without the assistance). It's an older machine and the way it's set up, -unlike yours-it doesn't allow for an extra stool, chair, etc. to come in, but there's a gadget where you can lift the chair/knee support up and out of the way. The assisted ones alone have helped my back--need to incorporate them more often (I typically do rows, compound rows, and lat pull downs). Thanks so much!

Great idea... My gym has an assisted pull up machine but I'm going to use this for myself and my PT clients! Thanks. Stepheli

Today I trained back and my fave exercises to hit are the following:

Bent Over T-Bar Row
Pull Downs
Dumbbell Row
Pull Ups/Chip Ups

MissNatalie those videos are AWESOME! You look amazing!!! You should consider posting them here on Figure & Bikini in the Knowledge Base.

Stepheli - I've found the assisted pull up machine to be good for overall back development but it wasn't until I did these that I was actually able to accomplish pull ups on my own, unassisted. You'll have to let me know how it goes!

JCSmitty - Do you think you could put a bench or stool under the machine with the gadget out of the way?

With love,
Kristin

Hi Kristin. I think I may be able to pull your suggestion off. Going back tomorrow. I'll try it & post the results. :-). I remember trying to just hang (couldn't lift) a couple of months back, and felt a calf muscle getting ready to cramp :-), so I stopped.

Back again. Tried it today....couldn't do un-assisted (not able to pull myself up). Did assisted and still got a good back workout. :-)

Keep up the great work Joan! Try just slowly letting yourself down. Do that for many weeks before trying without a stool or bench. I did 2 WIDE grip pullups yesterday! I'm so excited!

Kristin

Thanks, Kristin. :-) You're a jewel! I certainly will try your suggestion very soon!

Love the video, I was laughing. So cute! I have been doing assisted pull ups for a few months now, and I keep using more and more of my body weight. I'm going to try this though, I just might surprise myself :D Thank you!
