Kristin Shaffer weight loss memory loss

How many times have you yo-yo'd with your diet? Did you lose a bunch of weight only to gain it all back again? If so you're not alone. In fact, most women don't succeed in keeping weight off once they've lost it. Why does this happen and what can you do about it?

I call it "Weight Loss Memory Loss" or "Fat Loss Memory Loss".

We work our butts off, quite literally (see: Best Butt Lift Exercises), lose all the weight, and then go right back to our old ways. We eat junk and stop exercising.

It's like we get amnesia after we've achieved our weight loss goal!

We forget how bad we felt when we carried all that fat around.

We forget why we started a weight loss plan in the first place.

We somehow think we're okay eating "just that little bit" of junk food and off we go down the slippery slope to being fat and feeling miserable once again.

Welcome to yo-yo dieting.

The roller coaster.

The fat trap.

In this FABulously Fit Friday we explore why we stay in this self destructive cycle and what you can do about it to stop the pattern once and for all.

Have you ever had Weight Loss Memory Loss? I want to hear your experience in the comments below.

With love,

Kristin

Loved this! Very informative and funny! My favorite part was when you flipped up the sheets and you were already in your workout clothes. Lol.

:) So glad you liked it. Another fun one to make.

I think my favorite parts of my videos are the ones where I'm doing silly things out in public. Like "Not Milk?" where I'm running down the street with a milk carton in my hand. My neighbors must think I'm bonkers! LOL

These videos keep me motivated. I like your suggestion on creating mini goals along the way. My first competiton will be Oct 12 but I am definately setting other fitness goals after that so I won't reward myself with unhealthy food as I accomplish my goals.

That's awesome Kristin. I have the 'fat gene' and I still get on stage at 10% and im in my 40's. If I can do it anyone can!! Pam
