Hi everyone! I am new here, I am competing in my first show in August, recently I have been struggling A LOT with staying on plan when stress comes into my life, *I am a personal trainer so I beat myself EVER MORE when I can't control myself. Today I ate more then enough rice cakes and Peanut butter...I am so disappointed in myself, but wondering what ya'll do when you feel hungry and stressed.

Chelsea, just wanting to say that I totally get where your coming from. There have been times when I have cheated with sweets and felt so depressed afterwards with myself. Your not alone in your journey. Remember that it is not the end of the world! We all fall down from time to time. Just have to get back up one more time than we have fallen. When I personally mess up one day on my diet I just remember how that choice made me feel so that next time when I am tempted to give in again I will remember how I felt and make the better choice. We did not develop our personal health habits over night. We just need time to let ourselves get adjusted to new healthier habits. The more we say yes to the right choices the sooner we will make those healthier choices without thinking about them, which, is key.

The way I deal with my hunger and stress is by making a plan. I add plenty of high fiber complex carbs such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and kale to name a few. The more you feel your diet with high fiber foods and the more water you drink the less of a chance that your body will feel hungry. Over the past few weeks my stress levels along with my blood pressure have gown down really far because of my new lifestyle.

Just remember the reasons why you are doing what you are doing. Never give up! I'm pulling for you!

My BMI has gown down 8 points and my weight has gown down 57 pounds since I started my new healthier lifestyle last April. My blood preasure used to be 170/111 now it is 150/84. Still high, however, I no longer feel my own heart beat, which is what scared me into action in the first place xD
